25. Communication from Mayor Summers regarding Live Well Lakewood update. (pg. 144) <br /> Motion by President O'Leary, seconded by Vice President Anderson to receive and file the <br /> communication. <br /> Discussion: Councilmember Bullock shared some reflections from attending the first <br /> gathering of Live Well Lakewood. He applauded the strategic focus on this and encouraged <br /> Council participation. <br /> On the motion: All members voting yea. Motion passed. <br /> 26. Communication from Mayor Summers regarding 2019 strategic objectives update. (pg. <br /> 146) <br /> Motion by President O'Leary, seconded by Vice President Anderson to receive and file the <br /> communication. <br /> Discussion: Councilmember Rader applauded the Mayor for the organized list. <br /> President O'Leary remarked on the scheduling constraints of Monday evenings. He noted <br /> that it will be challenging to find the meeting time to take up any new matters before August <br /> recess. <br /> Councilmember Bullock expressed appreciation for communication of expectations and <br /> advocated for an increase in capacity of Council's meeting schedule. He expressed <br /> agreement with most of the strategic objectives. He and Mayor Summers had a brief <br /> exchange regarding the Housing Forward initiative. <br /> On the motion: All members voting yea. Motion passed. <br /> 27. Communication from Mayor Summers regarding a $1.1 million donation from the <br /> Cleveland Clinic Foundation to the City of Lakewood. (pg. 147) <br /> Motion by President O'Leary, seconded by Vice President Anderson to receive and file the <br /> communication. <br /> Discussion: Councilmember O'Malley suggested that the City was entitled to the money <br /> because LHA provided the funds for the purpose of a parking garage that did not come to <br /> fruition. <br />
