159.02 Membership; qualifications. <br />The Youth Council shall be composed of 15 Lakewood residents who, at the time of <br />their appointment, are between the point of entering the eighth grade and entering <br />their freshman year of college in the fall of the year of their appointment. The Mayor <br />shall appoint the original 15 members with confirmation of Council, and thereafter <br />the Youth Council shall submit slates of members appointed by the Youth Council <br />every two years for ratification by the Mayor with confirmation of Council. Mem- <br />bers shall receive no compensation for their service. <br />159.03 Terms. <br />Youth Council members shall be eligible to serve up to two consecutive two -year <br />terms. Vacancies in terms shall be filled by action of the Youth Council without ad- <br />ditional approval of the Mayor or Council. <br />159.04 Bylaws and general rules of operation. <br />The Youth Advisory Council shall meet at least on a quarterly basis and shall devise <br />its own officers, governance, and place and time of assembly. <br />Section 2. The Mayor hereby appoints, and Council hereby confirms, the following per- <br />sons as six of the original members of the Youth Council: Yusra Abdi, Collin Hunt, Olivia Pat- <br />terson, Tristan Ramsey, Siwita Ali Shah, and Tully Worron. <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this council concerning <br />and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />Adopted: I 1,9L911 <br />sid t oun it l <br />�y <br />Clerk of Council <br />X /Y� <br />Approved: ! / <br />Mayor <br />
