Motion passed. <br /> Several councilmembers expressed their support for the ordinance, their constituents support <br /> for the ordinance, and their desire to have seen it passed already. There was also discussion <br /> regarding protecting Uber and Lyft drivers from negative consequences, as they are helping <br /> contribute to public safety. <br /> Aimee Guzowski of 2083 Arthur Ave. expressed her support for the law and discussed 2 car <br /> accidents that happened on her street within the past week, including one where a car flipped <br /> when it hit a parked car. She asked that her street's intersection with Delaware Ave. be made <br /> a four-way stop and invited councilmembers to meet with her and residents on her street to <br /> figure out a solution to the problem. Councilmembers expressed interest in meeting with her <br /> and briefly discussed traffic calming efforts throughout the city. <br /> 5. ORDINANCE 21-19 —AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or <br /> otherwise to take effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing <br /> the transfer and advance of certain funds.
