Provide a brief narrative description of your idea: <br />Continue and expand our public art initiative: budget $75,000 for one large installation ($50,000) and <br />three to five smaller murals /art pieces ($25,000). This would continue or public art progress of the <br />last two years and challenge us to take it to the next level. <br />2. Briefly explain how this will benefit the community: <br />A sustained focus with reasonable amounts of resources here will attracts attention of artists, inspires <br />more investment by private property owners, and begins to develop a critical mass of public art that <br />will distinguish and brand Lakewood. <br />3. Estimated expense (provide a range): <br />$75,000 for one large installation ($50,000) and three to five smaller ($25,000) <br />4. If applicable, describe any past proposals or discussions that are related to this priority. <br />Continuation of public art investments in the last several years. <br />5.
