environmental contamination that has been discovered at the Lakewood Hospital site and the need for the City to remediate that before we turn the land over to the developer. Included in the ordinances this evening are additional appropriations and contracting authority for those future expenditures. We also transitioned into a discussion of the Lakewood Hospital Fund itself, other assets that might be liquidated into that fund and potential future uses for those funds, and other one-time funds we discussed as well. The Committee voted unanimously to adopt all of the ordinances before us this evening, some of which are substitutes, as well as the one-year action plan for HUD funding. Motion by President O'Leary, seconded by Vice President Anderson to receive & file the report. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. 9. ORDINANCE 30-19 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, to establish appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2019.
