23.04 No employee shall be eligible to bid for any position in the Department of Safety who has <br /> not satisfactorily completed the required probationary period. <br /> 23.05 Any employee shall be prohibited from bidding successfully on more than two (2) job <br /> postings during any calendar year. <br /> 23.06 The City agrees that employees who are on layoff may bid on promotions and will be <br /> permitted to call the Human Resources Office to make inquiry as to their status and position on <br /> the recall list. <br /> ARTICLE 24 <br /> HOLIDAYS <br /> 24.01 All employees shall receive the following paid holidays: <br /> New Year's Day <br /> Labor Day <br /> Martin Luther King Jr. Day <br /> Veteran's Day <br /> President's Day <br /> Good Friday <br /> Memorial Day <br /> Independence Day <br /> Thanksgiving Day <br /> Christmas Day <br /> Employee's Birthday <br /> Three (3) Personal Days <br /> 24.02 Any employee covered by this Agreement may convert their holidays to accumulated time <br /> to be used during the calendar year. No more than eighty (80) holiday hours may be cashed in at <br /> the end of the year. Any unused holiday hours in excess of eighty (80) will be forfeited. The <br /> personal day earned,pursuant to Article 40, Section 40.02, may be converted to holiday hours and <br /> cashed in at the end of the year separately from other holidays. <br /> 24.03 Any employee covered by this Agreement may convert holidays to accumulated time to be <br /> used or cashed in during the calendar year. <br /> ARTICLE 25 <br /> VACATIONS <br /> 25.01 All employees who have completed one(1)year or more of service as of June 1, shall earn <br /> vacation hours according to the following schedule: <br /> Weeks Working Days <br /> 17 <br />
