A ( em IV <br />1043 Adminlstrative Unit New Position <br />Proposal: Joint Petition to SERE Include the police Property Room Technician classification In the <br />bargaining unit, <br />payGradeGrouir,�owTlarf2D1&Ratas•S]fi514853974324 S41&94oatin_2016.nayscafe <br />The city of Lakewood, AFSCME local 1043 Admin dnit and Ohio Councll 8 (the parties) understand and <br />agree that the nature of the interview process forthls position is far more invasive than the interview <br />process for other bargaining positions and will Include detailed background checks, extensive Interview <br />questions pertaining to personal history, polygraph testing and a drug screening, The parties agree that <br />Article 22 PROMOTION/JOB BIDDING will apply except as to the selection and interviewing requirements <br />In the police General Order Polley number 1000 Recruitment and selection, the employee drug testing <br />requirements in the Police Gonoral Order Policy number 1006 Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace and the <br />period of probationary status or Its future amendments. Selection as defined in Policy 1000 will be <br />based on candidates suitability for service as determined solely by the police Department based on <br />the personal history, background check and polygraph examinations) first and then based on skills, <br />abllhy and exparle'nee.
