Focusing on reviewing policy over policing is vital. One facet of that is the use of teargas. Not only should <br /> Lakewood make it illegal to use or for police to posses, but they should condemn Cleveland's use of teargas on <br /> protestors. Teargas is considered illegal in warfare—yet it's perfectly legal to use on peaceful protestors in our <br /> own country. Existing policies should be reviewed and updated as necessary to align with the "8 Can't Wait" <br /> recommendations as a starting point.
