Motion by Chairman Bullock regarding budget proposal 47 —Bicycle Master Plan to insert the <br /> words "up to" before the $100,000 figure. <br /> Motion seconded. <br /> Chairman Bullock explained that he would like to express a priority but not to mandate a specific <br /> dollar amount. He added the specific dollar amount can be determined in partnership with the <br /> administration. A roll call vote was conducted on the motion as follows: <br /> Yeas: Bullock, Litten, Neff <br /> Nays: none <br /> Motion adopted. Council Budget Priority 47 amended. <br /> Motion by Chairman Bullock regarding budget proposal 48 -Public Art as follows: <br /> Btidget A�Vo ite $100,000: $75,000 for one or a i ore large installations aR $25,000 Ter Three to <br /> Chairman Bullock remarked on the success of the public art program and that to continue to <br /> build on the success that the size and scale of projects should be increased. He identified the <br /> Sloane/Detroit intersection and Fire Station 42 as potential larger scale projects. <br /> Motion was seconded. She expressed concern <br /> that the City may not be able to maintain the growing number of trees planted. <br /> Director Ducu echoed the concerns of Mayor George. He stated that the City has only a staff of 5 <br /> in charge of pruning, hazardous tree removal, etc. and that more trees are not necessarily better if <br /> they can't be maintained. <br /> 2 <br />
