ORDINANCE 21-2020 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, to approve the editing and inclusion of certain ordinances as parts of the various component codes of the Codified Ordinances and to provide for the publication of such new matter. (Placed on 18'reading 11102120) (pg. 015) President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to defer Ordinance 21-2020. A roll call vote was taken as follows: Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner Nays —None Motion passed. Ordinance 21-2020 was deferred. ****NEW BUSINESS**** 9. 2020 Beautiful Home Awards Presentation by Keep Lakewood Beautiful. (pg. 017) Melissa Meehan of the Keep Lakewood Beautiful Board gave an opening statement on the Keep Lakewood Beautiful Awards. Ruth Gillett of the Keep Lakewood Board presented the winners of the Beautiful Homes Awards. The winners included: Marsha & Dennis Paul of 17211 Edgewater Dr., Heidi & Dana Paul of 1096 Kenneth Ave.; The Derethik Family of 1486 Lewis Dr.; Rick & Kim Friedrich of 1643 Marlowe Ave.; The Toth Family of 2217-2219 Woodward Ave.; Mark & Emmy Eichelberger of 1552 Wyandotte Ave.; Linda Powers & Daniel Weiland of 2093 Robin St. President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the presentation. A roll call vote was taken as follows: Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner Nays —None Motion passed. Ordinance 22-2020 was deferred. 10. Communication from President O'Malley, Vice President Litten, Councilmember Neff& Councilmember Shachner regarding neighborhood police program. (pg. 026) President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to refer the communication to the Public Safety Committee.
