The resolution was amended. <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to adopt Resolution <br /> 2020-76 as amended. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. Resolution 2020-76 was adopted as amended. <br /> 17 RESOLUTION 7020 7-6 RESOLUTION 2020-77- A RESOLUTION to take effect <br /> immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members <br /> of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by <br /> law, authorizing the Mayor and Director of Law to enter into a purchase agreement with <br /> Kathleen and Stephen Jouriles, owners of the property located at 12518 Clifton Boulevard, <br /> Lakewood, Ohio (PPN 312-28-010), and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate <br /> the purchase and sale according to the terms of that agreement. (Referred to PWS 12121120) <br /> (pg. 110) <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Rader to adopt Resolution <br /> 2020-77. <br /> Discussion: President O'Malley asked what the city is planning to do with the property in the <br /> meantime if the storm water retention infrastructure won't be in place for another 10 years. <br /> Director Corrigan stated that after renting to the current homeowners while they're new house <br /> is being built, the city will continue to rent out the home until the land is needed. President <br /> O'Malley indicated that he supports the purchase for the long-term plan.
