the intersection and hopes to install new bike parking,public art, etc. He expressed hope to <br /> repeat this type of project in other parts of the region. <br /> Chairman Rader asked whether $25,000 was sufficient to cover the work to be done. Mr. <br /> McDermott indicated that the Metroparks is set to give $25,000 to the overall project and has not <br /> been line itemed for a specific item. The project will certainly cost more than $25,000 overall. <br /> Councilmembers provided questioning about way finding signage for the new extension multi- <br /> purpose pathway. Engineer Papke indicated that the signage will be similar to items one would <br /> see on Metroparks trails. <br /> Chairman Rader made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Bullock to recommend adoption <br /> of Resolution 2021-10 by the full Council. <br /> Discussion: Director Ducu acknowledged Engineer Papke for his great work on the project, and <br /> indicated he has gone above and beyond to leverage funding from other sources for the project. <br /> Mr. McDermott added that the Metroparks would assist in signage on the southeastern corner of <br /> the intersection. <br /> On the motion: A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Rader, Bullock, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. Resolution 2021-10 was recommended for adoption. <br /> Public Comment: Steve Eisenberg Mr. Eisenberg inquired about Lakewood's <br /> telecommunications infrastructure and whether the city considered 100%fiber connectivity for <br /> the city &placing a cap on what companies can charge. Councilmembers gave a brief history of <br /> fiber connectivity that was provided for commercial businesses along Lakewood's commercial <br /> corridors, and sited issues with cost and regulation scope for the various projects. Director <br /> Ducu added that the city has been working with AT&T for several years in upgrading to SG <br /> technology, and has successfully negotiated the removal of a variety ofstreetlight poles with the <br /> company, while it also picked up the cost of new LED lighting. <br /> Chairman Rader adjourned the meeting at 6:29 p.m. <br />
