Motion passed. The oral report was received and filed. <br /> 6. ORDINANCE 12-2021 -AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br /> effect at the earliest period allowed by law, to expand rental rights within the City of <br /> Lakewood allowing renters who tender their full rent plus any additional late fees and <br /> court costs, prior to an eviction hearing to avoid eviction for late payment of rent and <br /> setting reasonable late fees that a landlord may charge a tenant. (1st read and referred <br /> to HPD 2/16/21) (pg. 8) <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to defer Ordinance <br /> 12-2021. <br /> Discussion: President O'Malley thanked the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless for <br /> their staff's feedback. <br /> On the motion: A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. Ordinance 12-2021 was deferred. <br /> 7. ORDINANCE 08-2021 -AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br /> effect at the earliest period allowed by law, amending Section 103.02 Definitions and <br /> Chapter 1153 Fences of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood in order to <br /> clarify fence installation requirements within the City of Lakewood. (1st read and <br /> referred to HPD 2/16/21) (pg. 12) <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to defer Ordinance <br /> 08-2021. <br /> Director Corrigan requested that ordinance be referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> President O'Malley amended his motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to defer and <br /> simultaneously refer Ordinance 08-2021 to the Planning Commission. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br />
