RESOLUTION 2021-15 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br /> effect at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the City of Lakewood to enter into <br /> an agreement to accept Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council ("NOPEC") Energized <br /> Community Grant("NEC Grant"). (pg. 29) <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Rader to refer Resolution <br /> 2021-15 to the Public Works & Sustainability Committee. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. Resolution 2021-15 was referred to the Public Works & Sustainability <br /> Committee. <br /> ....LIQUOR PERMITS.... <br /> 14. Liquor permit notice regarding RER Taqueria LLC at 18260 Detroit Rd. The notice was received and filed without objection. <br /> ***PUBLIC COMMENT"" <br /> Michael Bentley — 15623 Lake Ave. —Mr. Bentley spoke on behalf of Lakewood Alive, who <br /> is asking for the Curtis Block building to be kept whole for adaptive reuse, as it is the only <br /> remaining historic building on its block downtown. He added that it appears the developer will <br /> be getting a TIF and that the city should also look at getting historic tax credits for the project. <br /> He stated his opposition to keeping the facade of the building, while tearing down the rest. <br /> Allison Urbanek — 1433 Spring Garden Ave. — Ms. Urbanek spoke on behalf of Lakewood <br /> Alive and asked for preservation and adaptive reuse of the Curtis Block building. She added a <br /> facade save would not help the property. <br />
