She added that the Recreation Department has been meeting every other week with <br /> Public Works and that new ideas are coming to fruition. She thanked everyone for working <br /> cooperatively on the agreement. <br /> Councilmember Litten acknowledged that the process of delivering this MOU was challenging at <br /> times, but necessary. He asked if the version on tonight's docket is the latest version. <br /> Chief Storey replied that the version introduced on September 7h has not been changed. He <br /> added that the School Board has the same version on its consent agenda this evening. <br /> Councilmember Litten urged council to move forward and adopt the agreement tonight. He <br /> recommended that any amendments be made afterwards. He explained that time is of the essence <br /> to ensure that the field renovation RFP gets out. <br /> The Committee and the administration discussed a detailed timeline of the field projects. <br /> Stonehouse Field was completed in May 2021 and so there are five fields remaining to be <br /> renovated. According to the MOU schedule, the last field will be completed in 2025. <br /> Julia Toke, 1682 Parkwood—Ms. Toke spoke in support of the agreement and expressed <br /> enthusiasm for it to come to fruition. <br /> President O'Malley spoke in support of the agreement and expressed confidence that it will lead <br /> to better collaboration between the city and the schools. He thanked everyone who helped with <br /> the process, particularly the citizens. <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to amend Resolution 2021-23 <br /> to attach the Mayor's communication and proposed MOU. <br /> All members voted in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2021-23 amended. <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to recommend adoption of <br /> Reso. 2021-23 as amended. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2021-23 <br /> recommended for adoption as amended. <br /> RESOLUTION 2021-22 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise <br /> to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, appointing <br /> and to the Anti-Racism Task Force. <br /> The Committee discussed the vacancies on the Anti-Racism Task Force. Councilmember Kepple <br /> clarified that Council has two appointments to fill vacancies and three appointments for new <br /> terms beginning January 1, 2022. She referred to the recently received applications and <br /> recommended appointing Carol Moss Chapman and Jessica Cotton to the unexpired terms. <br /> 2 <br />
