Chairman Bullock made a motion,seconded by Councilmember Litten to recommend <br /> Ordinance 27-2020A for adoption by the full Council.All members voted in favor. Motion <br /> passed. <br /> RESOLUTION 2020-26A -A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to <br /> take effect at the earliest period allowed by law, amending Resolution No. 2020-26, <br /> adopted September 21, 2020 to increase the contracting authority from $4,150,000 <br /> to $5,150,000 with Infinity Construction Co., Inc. in order to replace the roof on the <br /> future intergenerational community center known commonly as Cove Church. <br /> (Referred to Finance 9/7/21) <br /> Director Dillinger gave an overview of the city's request to increase contracting authority <br /> to $5.15 million for Cove Church to take on its roof replacement. The job was projected to <br /> be done in the next few years,but as the demolition work was taking place, active leaks in <br /> the roof were discovered. The roof replacement would take place in the spring of next year. <br /> Chairman Bullock asked where the funds were coming from and Director Rancatore <br /> indicated they were still figuring out the best way to fund the project. <br /> Councilmember Litten asked whether it would be a simple replacement or if other features, <br /> like skylights,were being added. Director Leininger stated the former cedar shake roof <br /> would be replaced with a composite with similar aesthetic. He noted that the construction <br /> materials market is extremely volatile and that the city would like to secure them now. <br /> Chairman Bullock made a motion,seconded by Councilmember Litten to recommend <br /> adoption of Resolution 2020-26A by the full Council.All members voted in favor. Motion <br /> passed. <br /> Chairman Bullock moved without objection to adjourn the meeting. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m. <br /> 4 <br />
