Anti- Racism Task Force. The remainder we are going to put out calls for <br /> applications for members of the public to serve on these boards and <br /> commissions. Councilmembers Kepple and Rader are going to reach out to <br /> members of the Tree Task Force regarding item #9, which is an appointment to <br /> the Tree Advisory and Education Board. The Civil Service Commission is for <br /> the seat being vacated by Professor Kowalski. That Commission requires that <br /> not more than two Commission members be of the same political party. <br /> However, since we currently have one Democrat and one Independent serving <br /> on that Commission, it doesn't impact the third appointee, which is the <br /> appointment we will be making. <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the oral <br /> report. All members voted in favor. Motion adopted. <br /> 2. RESOLUTION 2021-23 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise <br /> to take effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor <br /> to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the Superintendent of the Lakewood <br /> City Schools regarding the division of duties and responsibilities for the operation and <br /> maintenance of recreation fields and facilities.
