(to be
provided)
Chairperson Bullock delivered the following oral report:
Finance Committee met with all members of council present earlier tonight to
kick off the beginning of the fiscal year 2022 City Council budgeting process,
which of course is our annual series of meetings to review, deliberate upon and
ultimately approve a budget for our city. It was a good initial discussion. We
got into just the broadest of overviews from a macro budgetary point of view.
We discussed a little bit how every Monday from here through our final
December council meeting we will be meeting for departmental presentations.
We may need to reserve time on a Saturday, but that's yet to be scheduled. So,
it was a fine job by council members to discuss and deliberate and for Mayor
George and Director Rancatore and the whole finance department team to
synthesize and presents a bunch of very important information for our city,
financially and programmatically too. So, I look forward to continuing
deliberations.
Motion by Councilmember Bullock, seconded by President O'Malley to receive and file the
report. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. The report was received and filed.
7. Committee of the Whole Report regarding meeting held November 15, 2021.
