7. Communication from Councilmember Rader regarding resignation from Tree Education <br /> & Advisory Board. (pg. 13) <br /> Motion by Councilmember Rader, seconded by President O'Malley to receive and file the <br /> communication. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. The communication was received <br /> and filed. <br /> 8. RESOLUTION 2022-06 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or <br /> otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, <br /> appointing as the ex-officio non-voting member of Council <br /> to the Tree Advisory & Education Board for an unexpired term beginning immediately <br /> and ending December 31, 2022. (pg. 14) <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to amend Resolution 2022- <br /> 06 to insert the name Sarah Kepple in the blank. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Baker, Bullock, Kepple, Litten, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> All members in favor. Motion passed. The name Sarah Kepple was inserted into the blank. <br /> Discussion: Councilmembers discussed the role of the ex-officio position and its importance in <br /> maintaining Council's connection to the boards and commissions. <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to adopt Resolution 2022-06 <br /> as amended. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Baker, Bullock, Kepple, Litten, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> All members in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2022-06 was adopted as amended. <br /> 9. RESOLUTION 2022-05 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or <br /> otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, <br /> appointing as the ex-officio, non-voting councilmember to <br /> the Lakewood Animal Safety and Welfare Advisory Board, for a two year term <br /> beginning immediately and ending December 31, 2023. (pg. 15) <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to amend Resolution 2022- <br /> 05 to insert the name Tristan Rader in the blank. <br /> 3 <br />
