(pg. 16) <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the <br /> communication. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. The communication was received <br /> and filed. <br /> 11. ORDINANCE 06-2022 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council amending <br /> Sections 351.026 Emergency During Heavy Snow Storms and 351.27 Parking <br /> Regulations During Emergency of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances to clarify and <br /> update those sections. (pg. 17) <br /> Discussion: President O'Malley asked Mayor George to characterize the changes being <br /> proposed. Mayor George noted that legislation proposes cleaning up the language on when an <br /> emergency exists and when an announcement needs to be made. An automatic snow ban would <br /> be implemented on streets outlined in the legislation when there are more than 4 inches of <br /> snowfall. President O'Malley inquired how snow ban streets are determined. Mayor George <br /> stated they had been determined years ago with little change and that her administration was <br /> looking at them internally. Councilmember Bullock spoke about resident feedback on safe <br /> routes to schools and the importance of a clear communication strategy. <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to refer Ordinance 06-2022 <br /> to the Public Safety Committee. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 06- <br /> 2022 was referred to the Public Safety Committee. <br /> 12.
