Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the <br /> communication. <br /> Discussion: President O'Malley spoke to the high quality of the new appointee. <br /> All members voted in favor. Motion passed. The communication was received and filed. <br /> 13. Communication from Mayor George regarding the 2022 NOPEC Grant Awards. (pg. <br /> 21) <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the <br /> communication. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. The communication was received <br /> and filed. <br /> 14. RESOLUTION 2022-03 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br /> effect at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the City of Lakewood to enter <br /> into an agreement to accept Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council ("NOPEC") <br /> Energized Community Grant("NEC Grant")which is offered through NOPEC and their <br /> supply partner NextEra. (pg. 22) <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to adopt Resolution 2022-03. <br /> All members voted in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2022-03 was adopted. <br /> 15. Communication from Director Leininger regarding the application for Safe Routes to <br /> School (SRTS) School Travel Plan (STP) Development Assistance. RESOLUTION 2022-04 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or <br /> otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, <br /> supporting the preparation and execution of an application for Safe Routes to School <br /> (SRTS) for development assistance towards a city-wide School Travel Plan.
