Communication from Mayor George, Councilmember Bullock & Councilmember Rader <br /> affirming the City of Lakewood's participation in NOPEC's electricity aggregation <br /> program and the election of affordable, turnkey clean energy service, among other <br /> consumer choices. (pg. 03 1) <br /> Motion by Councilmember Bullock, seconded by Councilmember Litten to receive and file the <br /> communication. <br /> Discussion: Councilmember Rader provided additional context regarding the length and depth <br /> of the discussions between NOPEC, the administration, and Council to arrive at this point. He <br /> characterized the program as a huge step toward the city's clean energy goals. He expressed <br /> support for the program and asked for Councilmembers to act quickly, if possible. <br /> Councilmembers deliberated regarding whether or not to refer the following legislation to <br /> committee. <br /> A presentation was delivered (see attached)by Chuck Keiper, Executive Director of NOPEC in <br /> which he further described the Green Community Choice Program and how it will work for <br /> residents. <br /> 3 <br />
