MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> OF <br /> LAKEWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br /> AUDITORIUM <br /> June 21, 2022 <br /> 7:30 P.M. <br /> Regular Meeting of the Lakewood City Council called to order at 7:43 PM by President Litten <br /> Present: Kyle Baker, Thomas R. Bullock III, Sarah Kepple, John Litten, Cindy Marx, Tristan <br /> Rader, Jason Shachner <br /> Also Present: Finance Director Rancatore, Fire Chief Dunphy, Planning Director Leininger, <br /> Human Resources Director Dillinger,Public Works Director Ducu,Law Director Corrigan(Acting <br /> Mayor), Human Services Director Gelsomino, Chief of Staff John Storey, & Clerk Bach <br /> President Litten and Councilmember Rader acknowledged the passing of Lakewood resident <br /> Matt Kuhns who played a role in shaping city politics and public discourse. <br /> Motion by Vice President Litten, seconded by Councilmember Kepple to approve the minutes of <br /> the June 6, 2022 meeting without the necessity of a reading. All members voted in favor. Motion <br /> passed. Minutes approved. <br /> ****OLD BUSINESS**** <br /> 1. SUBSTITUTE RESOLUTION 2022-18 -A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, <br /> or otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, <br /> appointing _ Cindy Marx to the Ward 4 seat on Lakewood City Council for the <br /> remainder of the four-year term ending December 31, 2023. (Referred to COW 512122) <br /> (pg. 1) <br /> Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to adopt Substitute Resolution <br /> 2022-18. <br /> Public Comment: Mary Huck—1579 Lakeland Ave. Ms. Huck stated her disillusionment with <br /> the closing ofLakewood Hospital and asked for more transparency. <br /> Dan O'Malley—12900 Lake Ave. Mr. O'Malley expressed his support for Cindy Marx and <br /> spoke to the qualities she brings to the office. He lauded her experience in health care and <br /> senior services, noting her high character. <br /> 1 <br />
