Keith Davey Riverside Mr. Davey spoke in opposition to the ordinance <br /> Rebecca Machovec Mars Ms. Machovec advocated for adoption of the ordinance. <br /> Liz Kent Electric Blvd., Avon Lake Ms. Kent argued against the ordinance. <br /> Keith Robilotta W Bend Rd., Strongsville Mr. Robilotta argued against the ordinance. <br /> Cindy Strebig Baxterly Ms. Strebig offered her full support of the ordinance. <br /> Catherine Ryan Gladys Ms. Ryan spoke on behalf of the League of Women Voters and <br /> offered support of the ordinance. <br /> John Lutz Quail-Mr. Lutz,preacher at North Coast Baptist Church, opposed the ordinance. <br /> Kara Vlach-Lasher St. Charles Ms. Vlach-Lasher expressed her support for the ordinance. <br /> Brittney Breckenridge Larchmont Ms. Breckenridge spoke in support of the ordinance. <br /> Janet Machovec Reveley Ms. Machovec spoke in support of the ordinance. <br /> Brittany O'Connor Mars Ms. O'Connor spoke in support of the ordinance. <br /> Additional eComment can be found attached. 6 commenters spoke in support of the legislation <br /> and I commenter opposed it. <br /> Discussion: Councilmembers expressed the need to involve multiple departments to examine the <br /> ordinance during the committee process. <br /> On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 20-2022 was referred to the Finance <br /> Committee. <br /> 12. Communication from Councilmember Shachner regarding Council and Lakewood <br /> Residents Budget Priorities. <br /> Councilmember Shachner delivered the following communication: <br /> Dear Colleagues, <br /> On July 18'h, the Finance Committee will hold a hearing for members of Council and <br /> the public to discuss what they would like to see in Lakewood's upcoming budget with all of <br /> Lakewood's department heads. I expect every department will be represented either by their <br /> director or by representative so that this meeting may be as productive as possible. I ask all <br /> members of Council and respecfully ask the administration to do what you can to invite <br /> members of the public to this meeting. I see this as a brainstorming session. We have a schedule <br /> 6 <br />
