Mayor George invited Kate Ingersoll, Executive Director of the Healthy Lakewood Foundation, <br /> to speak about the neighborhood paramedic program and the accompanying grant. Ms. Ingersoll <br /> expressed support for the program and provided context on the funding behind it, which <br /> included statistics on Lakewood's aging population and their use of the emergency medical <br /> system. Chief Dunphy thanked Ms. Ingersoll for the opportunity to pursue the grant and show <br /> what a difference it is going to make in the community.
