Mayor George invited Kate Ingersoll, Executive Director of the Healthy Lakewood Foundation, <br /> to speak about the neighborhood paramedic program and the accompanying grant. Ms. Ingersoll <br /> expressed support for the program and provided context on the funding behind it, which <br /> included statistics on Lakewood's aging population and their use of the emergency medical <br /> system. Chief Dunphy thanked Ms. Ingersoll for the opportunity to pursue the grant and show <br /> what a difference it is going to make in the community. Councilmembers complemented the <br /> program. <br /> Motion by President Littten, seconded by Councilmember Bullock to receive and file the <br /> communication. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 17. Communication from Mayor George regarding an Appointment to the Lakewood <br /> Shoreline Special Improvement District Board of Directors. (pg. 24) <br /> Motion by President Litten, seconded by Councilmember Bullock to receive and file the <br /> communication. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 18. ORDINANCE 24-2022 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or <br /> otherwise to take effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing <br /> the transfer and advance of certain funds.
