Motion by Councilmember Bullock, seconded by President Litten to receive and file the <br /> communication. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 11. ORDINANCE 25-2022 - AN ORDINANCE modifying Section 333.03(b)(2) of the <br /> Lakewood Codified Ordinances establishing a 25 miles-per-hour speed limit for Lake <br /> Avenue to ensure the calming of traffic and safe passage of cyclists. (pg. 15) <br /> Motion by President Litten, seconded by Councilmember Bullock to refer Ordinance 25-2022 <br /> to the Public Works & Sustainability Committee. <br /> Discussion: Mayor George noted that speed data collection efforts will continue into Spring of <br /> 2023 so that the city has 2 years ofgood data with the new striping, which she believes will help <br /> the city's case if it were to appeal the speed limit with the state. <br /> One eComment was made in support of the ordinance and reducing the speed limit on Lake <br /> Ave. <br /> On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 25-2022 was referred to the Public <br /> Works & Sustainability Committee. <br /> 12. Appointment from Councilmember Marx to the Citizens Advisory Board.
