He mentioned that him and <br /> his family feel safer when there are bike lanes and lower speed limits in place. <br /> Robert Oregon— 14153 Bayes Avenue, Lakewood, OH—Mr. Oregon spoke in support of <br /> Ordinance 25-2022 and the safety of bicyclists and pedestrians. He also mentioned a possibility <br /> of decreasing noise pollution once more people choose to bike instead of drive. <br /> Emily Lindberg— 1651 Lauderdale Avenue, Lakewood, OH—Ms. Lindberg expressed her <br /> support of Ordinance 25-2022 on behalf of Bike Lakewood. She said the bike lanes that have <br /> been implemented in the past few years have been beneficial and the reduction in speed limits <br /> would make everyone feel even safer. <br /> Councilmember Bullock made mention of health and affordability in Lakewood. He explained <br /> that transportation costs could decrease if people felt safe enough to walk and bike around <br /> Lakewood. <br /> Councilmember Baker spoke about the upcoming Thursday being a walk and bike to school day. <br /> He mentioned that Lakewood does not have bussing and that ODOT should be aware of how <br /> Lakewood operates in regard to transportation. <br /> Councilmember Rader suggested meeting again following the conclusion of the spring traffic <br /> study and deferred Ordinance 25-2022 with no objections. <br /> Public Works & Sustainability Committee adjourned at 7:14 p.m. <br /> 3 <br />
