days so affected and, upon return to full-time duty, be permitted to reselect his vacation days in <br />accordance with the terms of this Agreement. <br />25.09 Employees hired prior to March 1, 1990, shall be permitted to accumulate a total of fifty <br />(50) working days of vacation time. Vacation time acquired but not used in excess of fifty (50) <br />days shall be forfeited on December 31 st of each year. <br />A. All personnel will be required to use at least ten (10) vacation days in every year. <br />B. Any days in excess of the days to which an employee is entitled may be placed into a bank <br />for accumulation. <br />C. To accumulate vacation, the employee shall complete the required form and forward it to <br />the office of the Chief of Police between September 15th and October 1st of the year <br />preceding selection. <br />25.10 Any employee hired after February 28, 1990, shall be required to take all vacation hours in <br />the calendar year following the calendar year in which earned. <br />25.11 An employee who has notified the Chief of Police, in writing, of his date of retirement, <br />shall not be required to make a minimum vacation selection as required in Section 25.09 above. <br />25.12 Effective January 1, 2023, members shall receive credit for prior service with the State of <br />Ohio or any political subdivision of the State of Ohio for the purposes of vacation hours earned. <br />Verification of prior service credit shall be provided to the human resources department by the <br />employee from the appropriate retirement system. <br />25.13 Following their selection of two (2) weeks' vacation time, vacation time may be taken in <br />one (1) hour increments with the approval of the Administrative Captain and affected Shift <br />Commander. <br />ARTICLE 26 <br />WAGES <br />26.01 Effective January 1, 2023 there shall be a three percent (3%) wage increase. All full-time <br />employees shall be paid at the following hourly rate: <br />26.02 Effective January 1, 2024 there shall be a three percent (3%) wage increase.
