Weeks <br />6 <br />11 <br />16 <br />21 <br />26 <br />31 <br />36 <br />41 <br />46 <br />Years of Service <br />Working Days <br />1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />Vacation Weeks <br />1 2 <br />7 3 <br />13 4 <br />20 5 <br />25.02 Vacation time shall be earned in one (1) calendar year and taken in the subsequent calendar <br />year. <br />25.03 A vacation week shall be seven (7) consecutive days off. <br />25.04 All vacation time shall be paid at the employee's regular rate of pay in effect at the time <br />the vacation is taken. <br />25.05 If, due to scheduling, an employee's vacation cannot be taken in the year earned and is <br />accumulated and taken in the next subsequent year, the rate of vacation pay shall be at the <br />employee's rate of pay in effect during the year taken. <br />25.06 Vacation scheduling shall be on an equitable basis consistent with the operating <br />requirements of the Lakewood Police Department and subject at all times to the approval of the <br />Chief of Police. <br />25.07 Once an employee, has made a vacation selection and is thereafter subject to a modification <br />of work schedule, which affects the employee's regular days off, said employee may, at his option, <br />select another vacation period from among those vacation periods remaining and consistent with <br />Section 25.06 above. A Corrections Officer may change scheduled vacation to an open week with <br />the following restrictions: The change is at least thirty (30) days in advance of the vacation time <br />requested and the change must not interfere with manpower needs. Vacation changes will be <br />considered on a first come, first served basis. <br />25.08 If an employee is injured in the line of duty and, as a result of said injury, is placed on sick <br />leave during any scheduled vacation period, said employee shall be credited with those vacation <br />18 <br />
