Chair Baker expressed a desire for further research into technology that can issue citations for <br /> loud cars that exceed certain decibel thresholds. <br /> Public Comment: Tony Bruzas — 14 714 Clifton Mr. Bruzas spoke about his experience with <br /> traffic noise pollution on Clifton. He stated he conducted his own data collection experiment and <br /> found that there is a noise violator every 10 minutes. <br /> Keith Davey 2131 Riverside Mr. Davey spoke about speeding on his street and how it has <br /> become a citywide problem in Lakewood. He would like to see more speed enforcement. <br /> Lesya Melnak Edgewater Square Condominiums Ms. Melnak stated her desire to see Lake <br /> Ave. reduced from 35 mph to 25 mph. City staff acknowledged a need for new data collection as <br /> state speed thresholds had recently been reduced. <br /> Chair Baker stated his preference to defer action on the communication for further exploration <br /> into January 2023. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Shachner, seconded by Councilmember Marx to defer the <br /> communication. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> Chair Baker adjourned the meeting without objection at 7:11 p.m. <br />
