Discussion: Acting President Kepple expressed her appreciation for Santiago working on this <br /> board. <br /> On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> ****NEW BUSINESS*** <br /> 14. RESOLUTION 2023-05 - A RESOLUTION to recognize Lakewood resident Peter <br /> Andrew Viglianco on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout as a member of Troop 287, St. <br /> James Roman Catholic Church. (pg. 63) <br /> Councilmember Shachner recognized the hard work and service that Lakewood resident Peter <br /> Andrew Viglianco has demonstrated. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Shachner, seconded by Acting President Kepple to adopt Resolution <br /> 2023-05. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 15. Communication from President Litten regarding appointments to Lakewood Animal <br /> Safety & Welfare Advisory Board. (pg. 64) <br /> Acting President Kepple gave communication on behalf of President Litten. <br /> Motion by Acting President Kepple, seconded by Councilmember Bullock to receive and file <br /> communication. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 16. Communication from Councilmembers Baker, Rader& Bullock regarding American <br /> Rescue Plan Projects —Beck Center for the Arts ($95,000 Allocation). (pg. 65) <br /> Acting President Kepple shared that her and President Litten had a conversation about the <br /> process of the ARPA funds. A form will be sent out to Councilmembers about how they would <br /> like to spend ARPA funds, which will be discussed in 2 Committee of the Whole meetings in <br /> March. <br /> Councilmembers shared their appreciation of Lakewood's Beck Center and expressed the <br /> importance of these funds that will benefit the community. <br /> Mayor George thanked Council for Resolution 2023-06 and said that she is glad to hear about a <br /> process before a final decision is made. <br /> President Lucinda Einhouse of the Beck Center thanked Council for the support of the Beck <br /> Center. She shared the economic impact the institution has had for Lakewood over the past 90 <br /> years. President Einhouse expressed urgency for Resolution 2023-06 to be passed to support the <br /> Beck Center's renovations. <br /> Councilmembers Baker and Rader said they would support the adoption of Resolution 2023-06 <br /> in this meeting. <br /> 7 <br />
