Councilmember Marx claimed that Edgewater Ave. is not a through street and that it needs a <br /> lower speed limit. <br /> Councilmember Shachner shared his appreciation for the efforts taken by the administration thus <br /> far to examine the speeding issue and expressed optimism about the real effort underway to find <br /> concrete, creative ways to address the speeding problem in Lakewood. <br /> Public Comment <br /> John Mazee— 14107 Franklin—Mr. Mazee expressed a need for traffic calming on Franklin and <br /> requested a crosswalk in front of Sam's Beverage. He suggested adding speed table on Franklin <br /> and asked for more bike racks at City Hall. <br /> Cindy Snyder— 11646 Lake—Ms. Snyder expressed excitement in hearing there is serious <br /> consideration to lower speed limits to 25 mph zones in her neighborhood. She thanked Council <br /> and invited members to a resident meeting at Cove Community Center in February where <br /> residents will be sharing their experiences dealing with speeding. <br /> Chair Baker adjourned the meeting without objection at 6:21 p.m. <br />
