Councilmember Rader expressed support for the proposal as well. He suggested that Council <br /> consider allocating more than the requested $6,400 to assist LASWAB in the case that PetFix <br /> does not come through as a sponsor. <br /> Councilmembers Bullock, Rader & Marx each committed equal portions of individual <br /> ARPA funds to total $10,000 in support for the proposal. <br /> Lakewood Alive Small Business Support- $50,000 requested <br /> President Litten expressed his support for Lakewood Alive's small business support proposal and <br /> asked if other colleagues would like to share in this financial support. Councilmember Bullock <br /> signaled his intention to also contribute financial support. <br /> Director Leininger noted that the city already has an agreement with Lakewood Alive for small <br /> business support, so he is unclear about how this proposal interacts with the existing program. <br /> Councilmember Bullock briefly advocated for and explained the Lakewood Alive proposal. He <br /> spoke to the benefits of investing in Lakewood Alive. <br /> Councilmembers Baker and Shachner also expressed support for the proposal and agreed to <br /> contribute financially. <br /> Councilmembers Baker, Bullock, Litten & Shachner agreed to commit equal portions of <br /> individual ARPA funds to total $50,000. <br /> Law Director Vargo expressed the administration's commitment to studying these proposals and <br /> providing constructive feedback. <br /> The Madison Park Master Plan and Lakewood Alive Housing Outreach proposals were briefly <br /> discussed before several councilmembers expressed a preference to hold off making decisions <br /> until all proposals were discussed and/or presentations were made from applicants.
