Public Works Director Gordon provided additional background on the situation and the city's <br /> attempts to acquire hybrid vehicles. <br /> To further illustrate the challenging supply chain issues impacting the city,Chief Kaucheck shared <br /> that there are currently four police vehicles sitting idle on recall waiting for parts from the <br /> manufacturer. <br /> On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2023-12 adopted. <br /> 13. Communication from Public Works Director Gordon regarding Community Recycling <br /> Awareness Grant Award. (pg. 19) <br /> Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to receive and file the <br /> communication. <br /> Discussion: President Litten expressed the importance of community awareness around updated <br /> recycling practices. <br /> Councilmember Kepple clarified with Director Gordon that the grant requires Council to send out <br /> material approved by the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District. She suggested the possible use <br /> of digital materials. Director Gordon explained that the use of the print materials is the surest way <br /> to receive the grant. <br /> On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 14. Communication from Public Works Director Gordon regarding County Road Preventative <br /> Maintenance Reimbursement Program. (pg. 20) <br /> Motion by President Litten,seconded by Vice President Kepple to receive and file communication. <br /> Discussion: President Litten clarified with Director Gordon that the funds from the reimbursement <br /> program would be used for the streets proposed and accepted. <br /> On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> ***PUBLIC COMMENT*** <br /> No public comment was made. <br /> ***ANNOUNCEMENTS*** <br /> Assistant Human Services Director Laura Jaissle shared that Cove Community Center holds <br /> programs to inform the public about recycling. <br /> President Litten expressed his appreciation toward Councilmember Bullock and Rader's push for <br /> the conversation regarding hybrid vehicles. <br /> 5 <br />
