Councilmembers Baker, Rader, Litten, and Kepple each made contributions totaling $120,000, <br /> resulting in full funding of the proposal. <br /> Pickleball - $50,000 requested <br /> Councilmembers Shachner, Baker & Kepple each made contributions totaling $22,500. <br /> Chamber of Commerce Economic Relief—Requesting $86,290 <br /> In response to a question, Director Leininger shared that the City makes no financial <br /> contributions to the Chamber, although the city and the chamber are currently in discussion about <br /> establishing a series of workshops for small businesses. <br /> President Litten suggested this proposal be tabled while more information is gathered. <br /> Childcare Assistance—Requesting $10,000 <br /> Both Councilmembers Shachner and Baker made contributions totaling $10,000 resulting in full <br /> funding of the proposal. <br /> Holiday Lighting Expansion - $25,000 <br /> Councilmember Marx confirmed with Director Gordon that the request for information regarding <br /> poles and snowflakes has been submitted to the Illuminating Company. Director Gordon <br /> explained that the proposal would pay for the installations and the purchase of 10 additional <br /> snowflakes. He acknowledged a few outstanding questions related to the costs. <br /> Councilmember Bullock committed $20,000 toward the proposal and made mention of a partial <br /> financial match by the Downtown Lakewood Business Alliance. <br /> Director Gordon confirmed that 10 snowflakes will be placed within the downtown business <br /> district and another 10 will be placed on Detroit west of the downtown business district. <br /> President Litten confirmed with Director Gordon that the installation would take place within a <br /> year and have a potential usability of around 5 years. Director Gordon provided further details on <br /> the costs. <br /> Councilmember Marx expressed a desire to create a master plan for holiday lighting. <br /> Councilmember Baker committed $5,000 resulting in the full funded proposal. <br /> Library Accessibility Expansion—requesting $86,000 <br /> Councilmembers Rader, Bullock, Marx, Baker and Litten each made individual contributions <br /> toward fully funding the proposal. <br /> Madison Court Coalition Equipment— $5,000 requested <br /> Councilmember Bullock stated that his $20,000 allocation to Madison Park coalition should <br /> include and cover this request. He asked to maintain an ongoing dialogue with the administration <br /> on this matter. Director Gordon confirmed that this project would be included as part of the <br /> Madison Park master plan. <br /> 4 <br />
