Motion by Vice President Kepple, seconded by President Litten to refer the communication to <br />Committee of the Whole. <br /> <br />Discussion: President Lauren Small of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce shared her <br />appreciation for Resolution 2023-37. She assured Council that all resources received are being <br />watched over and spent wisely to invest in the future of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />Troy Bratz of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce spoke about the potential growth of the <br />organization with Council support. He also went over the potential for individuals who are <br />interested in starting businesses or moving their businesses to Lakewood. <br /> <br />Councilmember Bullock supported further discussions regarding Resolution 2023-37. He <br />expressed the importance of unique businesses to improve the character of the city. <br />On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. <br />*** <br />9. RESOLUTION 2023-37 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br />receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br />effect at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor and/or Director of <br />Finance or Director of Law to allocate and expend _________ of American Rescue Plan <br />Act (ARPA) funds to the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce to facilitate small business <br />support. (pg. 13) <br />Motion by Vice President Kepple, seconded by President Litten to refer Resolution 2023-37 to <br />Committee of the Whole. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />***LIQUOR PERMIT*** <br /> <br />10. Liquor Permit Notice Î Claude Enterprises LLC 14235 Madison Ave. (pg. 15) <br /> <br />Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to file the liquor permit without <br />objection. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />***PUBLIC COMMENT**** <br /> <br />Megan Denman Î 12520 Edgewater Dr. Î Ms. Denman spoke about the circulator bus and the <br />transportation system that existed in Lakewood previously. She expressed the importance of <br />accessible transportation for the community. <br /> <br />Mayor George went over the feasibility study that was conducted with the Cuyahoga County a <br />few months prior. She explained that the Administration has been working with RTA and other <br />partners for the potential to get the circulator back in Lakewood. <br /> <br />***ANNOUNCEMENTS*** <br /> <br />Ѝ <br /> <br /> <br />
