(pg. 23) <br />Motion by Vice President Kepple, seconded by President Litten, to enter Matt Bixenstine’s name <br />into Resolution 2023-59. <br /> <br />Discussion: Councilmember Bullock stated that he is happy to support the motion. He stated that <br />Mr. Bixenstine is a great Ward 4 resident who is well positioned to be a thoughtful committee <br />member. Councilmember Marx joined by acknowledgingthat Mr. Bixenstine would be a great <br />addition. Vice President Kepple added that she would be happy to have him on board. <br /> <br />On the motion to enter Matt Bixenstine’s name into Resolution 2023-59. All in favor. Motion <br />passed. <br /> <br />Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple, to adopt Resolution 2023-59 <br />as amended. All in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2023-59 adopted as amended. <br /> <br />20. RESOLUTION 2023-60 – A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise <br />to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, appointing five <br />members to the Charter Review Commission for a six-month term beginning January 1, <br />2024. (pg. 24) <br /> <br />Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple, to refer Resolution 2023-60 to <br />Committee of the Whole. All in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2023-60 referred to Committee <br />of the Whole. <br /> <br />21. Communication from Councilmember Bullock regarding improvements to the frontage <br />of the former Lakewood Hospital site. (pg. 25) <br /> <br />Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple, to receive and file the <br />communication. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />22. RESOLUTION 2023-61 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br />receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br />effect at the earliest period allowed by law to provide certainty to Lakewood residents on <br />improving the frontage of the former Lakewood Hospital site. (pg. 26) <br />Public Comment: Cindy Strebig, residing at 2066 Baxterly Avenue, expressed her support for <br />the beautification of the former Lakewood Hospital site. She shared her observations from <br />canvassing over the past year, noting that she encountered numerous public concerns related to <br />this issue. Ms. Strebig acknowledged the overall complexities associated with the site. <br />Addressing a lack of regular announcements, she emphasized that the absence of updates has led <br />to public speculation and the generation of suggestions regarding the site's future.
