That Section 915.01 Establishment of Rates, of the City of Lakewood Codified Ordinances, currently reading as follows: 915.01 ESTABLISHMENT OF RATES. (5) Effective January 1, 2023, the first 2,500 ccf of water used during each one month billing period shall cost $8.59 per one hundred cubic feet of water and all over 2,500 ccf per month shall cost $4.29 per one hundred cubic feet of water. (b) In case of failure to pay any charges duly prescribed, the City may take any appropriate action against a recipient of water service or property owner, including but not limited to instituting any proceeding in a court of proper jurisdiction, shutting off service in accordance with Section 902.09 and certifying the amount of all unpaid water service charges to the Cuyahoga County Auditor, with interest accruing at a rate of ten percent (10%) per annum from thirty days after the date of delinquency, against the lot or parcel of land involved.
