11. RESOLUTION 2024-08 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect <br />and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, appointing ____Tristan Rader____ as <br />the ex-officio non-voting member of Council to the Tree Advisory & Education Board for an <br />unexpired term beginning immediately and ending December 31, 2025. (pg. 68) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, adopt Resolution 2024-08. <br />Discussion: President Kepple thanked Councilman Rader for his willingness to serve in this role. <br />She mentioned that the Tree Advisory & Education Board is an excellent group and that she is <br />looking forward to Councilman Rader’s service. <br /> <br />On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2024-08 adopted. <br /> <br />12. RESOLUTION 2024-09 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect <br />and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, appointing Councilmember Kyle Baker <br />as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors of Lakewood Alive for a three-year term <br />beginning January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2026. (pg. 70) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, adopt Resolution 2024-09. <br />Discussion: President Kepple acknowledged that Councilman Bullock, for a longtime, has been <br />Council’s memberof the Board of Directors and has done a great job. She thanked Councilman <br />Bullock for his work and then thanked Councilman Baker for his willingness to serve. <br /> <br />On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2024-09 adopted. <br />13. Communication from Councilmember Marx regarding LCRAC appointment. (pg. 71) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to receive and file the <br />communication. All in favor. Motion passed. Communication received and filed. <br /> <br />14. Communication from President Kepple and Mayor George regarding allocation of remaining <br />ARPA funds. (pg. 72) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to refer this communication <br />to the Committee of the Whole. <br />Discussion: President Kepple acknowledged the efforts undertaken by Council during the Council <br />Retreat to identify their common priorities positively impacted this communication.She stated that <br />she appreciates the flexibility and hard work of Council. <br /> <br />On the motion: All in favor.
