Medical Marijuana Operations of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to provide <br />st <br />a permitting process for both Medical and Adult Use Marijuana Dispensaries. (1read & <br />nd <br />referred to HPD 12/18/23; 2 reading 1/2/24) (pg. 28) <br /> <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to defer Ordinance 41-2023. <br />All in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 41-2023 deferred. <br /> <br />7. ORDINANCE 42-2023 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council to amend Schedule <br />1129.02 Permitted uses in commercial districts and Chapter 1165 Medical Marijuana <br />Dispensaries, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood and to permit Medical and <br />st <br />Adult Use Marijuana Dispensaries in Commercial Districts. (1read & referred to PC & HPD <br />nd <br />12/18/23; 2 reading 1/2/24) (pg. 53) <br /> <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to defer Ordinance 42-2023. <br />All in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 42-2023 deferred. <br /> <br />8. ORDINANCE 01-2024 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect <br />and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, to approve the editing and inclusion of <br />certain ordinances as parts of the various component codes of the Codified Ordinances and to <br />stnd <br />provide for the publication of such new matter. (1 read 1/16/24; 2 read 2/5/24) (pg. 64) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to adopt Ordinance 01-2024. <br />All in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 01-2024 adopted. <br />***NEW BUSINESS*** <br />9. Communication from President Kepple regarding Council liaison positions. (pg. 66) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to receive and file the <br />communication. All in favor. Motion passed. Communication received and filed. <br />10. RESOLUTION 2024-02 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect <br />and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, appointing Councilmember Cindy <br />Strebig as the liaison to the Community Recreation & Education Commission for a one-year <br />term beginning January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024. (pg. 67) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, adopt Resolution 2024-02. <br />Discussion: President Kepple thanked Councilmember Strebig for her willingness to serve in this <br />important role. <br /> <br />On the motion: All in favor.
