Mayor George suggested that since the Climate Action and Sustainability Coordinator position will soon be filled, it would be logical to accept the funds first, receive them, and subsequently arrange a committee meeting, involving the new hire, to deliberate on how to make use of the funds. She clarified that the resolution simply entails accepting the funds without specifying their allocation. Councilman Bullock expressed agreement with the Mayor's approach, noting that the funds have historically been put to good use. He emphasized the importance of providing the community with updates on how previous funds have been utilized. On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2024-11 adopted. st 18.
