Mayor George suggested that since the Climate Action and Sustainability Coordinator position <br />will soon be filled, it would be logical to accept the funds first, receive them, and subsequently <br />arrange a committee meeting, involving the new hire, to deliberate on how to make use of the <br />funds. She clarified that the resolution simply entails accepting the funds without specifying their <br />allocation. <br />Councilman Bullock expressed agreement with the Mayor's approach, noting that the funds have <br />historically been put to good use. He emphasized the importance of providing the community <br />with updates on how previous funds have been utilized. <br />On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2024-11 adopted. <br />st <br />18. Communication from Finance Director Rancatore regarding 2024 1 Quarter Transfers. (pg. <br />78) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to receive and file the <br />communication. All in favor. Motion passed. Communication received and filed. <br />19. ORDINANCE 02-2024 -AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect <br />and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the transfer and advance of <br />certain funds. (pg. 79) <br /> <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to refer Ordinance 02-2024 to <br />the Finance Committee. All in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 02-2024 referred to the Finance <br />Committee. <br />20. Communication from Director Leininger and Senior Planner Nochta regarding the Madison <br />Park Master Plan. (pg. 81) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to receive and file the <br />communication. <br />Discussion: President Kepple shared that she had the opportunity to attend some of the Madison <br />Park Master Plan community meetings. She noted that this plan has garnered a lot of public <br />engagement. <br /> <br />On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Communication received and filed. <br /> <br />21. RESOLUTION 2024-12 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of at least two-thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect <br />at the earliest period allowed by law, to adopt the Madison Park Master Plan. (pg. 82) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to simultaneously refer <br />Resolution 2024-12 to the Housing, Planning, & Development Committee and to the Planning <br />Commission.
