Director Leininger commented that we are in the early stages and trying to understand what <br />direction the state is headed. He said we have legislation on the books that has worked well for <br />our community and is certainly a good place to start but we still don’t know enough yet. He also <br />said that the Planning Department has received inquiries from other dispensaries hoping to open <br />locations in Ohio. He said the fact that neighboring communities have banned legal marijuana <br />puts a lot more pressure on the City of Lakewood to consider additional applications beyond <br />Rise. <br />Chairman Bullock made a motion to defer Ordinance 41-2023, motion seconded.
