ORDINANCE NO. 1-52 BY Mr. Gottermeyer <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE, which shall be known and referred to <br />as the "Adopting Ordinance", to approve, adopt, and declare in force <br />~he Codified OrdinaDc~s of the City of Lakewood., Ohio, 1952. as pre- <br />pared by Banks-Baldwin Law Publishing Company in cooperation with <br />the Director of Law pursuant to the Agreement authorized by Ordi- <br />nace No. $828, and comprising a revision, rearrangement, compilation <br />and codification of the general and permanent ordinances of the City <br />of Lakewoo~; to provide for the printing and publication in book <br />form, for certification as to correctness by the President of Council, <br />the Clerk of Council and the Mayor, and for the effective date there- <br />of; to provide for the amending and supplementing thereof; to provide <br />for the repeal of certain ordinances and all other ordinances incon- <br />sistent herewith and therewith saving those ordinances which are <br />specifically reserved and excepted even though inconsistent; and to <br />authorize and direct the giving of public notice. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this "Adopting Ordinance" is declared to be an emer- <br />gency ordinance, hereby defined and for the reasons: that Banks- <br />BaldWin Law Publishing Company in cooperation with the Director of <br />Law has completed the revision, rearrangement, compilation and codi- <br />fication of the general and permanent ordinances in manuscript form <br />pursuant to the Agreement authorized by Ordinance No. $828; that in <br />the interest of'certainty with respect to ordinance provisions and <br />to comply with law this Council deems it necessary to forthwith <br />publish such revision, rearrangement, compilation and codification <br />in book form as The. C0~ifi~d OrdiDances.o~. th?..C~ty, of. Lakewoo~ <br />Ohio. 1952~ and that it provides for the public health, safety and <br />welfare and forthe usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD. STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. REVISION AND CODIFICATION.
