~RDINANC~ NO. 42-5~ BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Pahrenbach, Pairgrieve <br />Gaydos, Gottermeyer, <br />I~wther, ;'lard, <br />Chockley. <br /> <br /> AIt I~;d~P,~NCYC~.DII~0~ICE to amend Section 329.03, to adopt <br />Sections 329.111 to 329.140, both inclusive, and to repeal Sec- <br />tions 329.01, 329.02 and 329.021, all of the Sanitary Code of <br />the Codi£ied Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, for the purpose <br />of regulating swiraraing and wading pools, and <br /> <br /> lt~EP~EAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency for the <br />reason that it provides for the immediate preservation of the <br />public peace, property, health or sa~ety~ and provides for the <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department~ now~ therefore~ <br /> <br /> I~ IT (I~.I)AI}~D BY TI~ COUNCIL OF TH~ CITY <br />STATE OF 0~IO: <br /> <br /> Section I. That Section 329.03 of the Sanitary Code of <br />the Codified Ordinances of the City o~ La~e~ood now reading as <br />£ollowsl <br /> <br />~329.03 ~r~orcement. <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation <br />o~ning or having the possession, charge or management <br />of any bathing pool or public bathing beach to suffer or <br />per,it the same to be constructed, used or maintained <br />unless all the provisions o£ this code and a!l other <br />laws and ordinances relative to bathing pools or public <br />~athin§ beaches are complied with.* <br /> <br />shall be and is hereby amended to read as £ollows~ <br /> <br />329.03 ~r~orcement. <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation <br />o~ning or having the possession, charge or management <br />of any public or f~aily s~i~,~ming pool, public or family <br />wadin~ pool, or other artificial body of water to s~f£er <br />or permit the same to be constructed, used or maintained <br />unless all the provisions of this code and all other laws <br />and ordinances relative to any public or family swim,nih§ <br />pools, public or family wading pools, or other artificial <br />bodies of water are complied with. <br /> <br /> ~ection 2. That Sections 329.01, 329.02 and 329,021 of <br />the Sanitary Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood now reading as fOllows: <br /> <br />"32~.01 Construction of bathing pools. <br /> <br />Bvery bathing pool constructed a~ter Ordinance 2276 goes <br />into effect shall be provided with an overflow trough <br />not less than two and one l~alf (2-i) inches wide and <br />extending around the entire eargin of the poo!. This <br />trough shall be connected with a p~olic sewer, and no <br />water flowing into said trough shall return to the pool. <br />The entire bottom of every such pool shall slope with a <br />fall of not less than one quarter (¼) inch per running <br />foot to an outlet connected with a public sewer. <br /> <br />329.02" · <br /> .~equzre~ents for bathing pools. <br /> <br /> <br />
