A~ EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Sections 907.05 and 907.06 of the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to curfews. ~EREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public peace and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That Section 907.05 of the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lake- wood, now reading as follows: Section 907.05 CUrfew for Children bit shall be unlawful for any child under the age of fifteen years to be upon the streets or sidewalks or any public property within the City of Lakewood between the hours of 11:00 P.M. and 4:00 A.M. of the following morning or for any child of or over the age of fifteen but under the age of eighteen years to be upon the streets or sidewalks or any public property within the City of Lakewood between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 4:00 A.M. of the follow- ing morning; provided, however, that the provisions of this section do not apply to a minor accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an .emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor." be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows; Section 907.05 Curfew for Children It shall be unlawful for any child under the age of fifteen years to be upon the streets or sidewalks or any public property within the City of Lakewood between the hours of 11:00 P.M. and 4:00 A.M. of the following morning or for any child of or over the age of fifteen but under the age of eighteen years to be upon the streets or sidewalks or any public property within the City of Lakewood between the hours of 12:30 A.M. and 4:00 A.M. of the following morning; provided, however, that the provisions of this section do not apply to a minor accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor.
