ORDINANCE <br /> <br />86 -86 <br /> <br />BYMessrs. Wendling, Gaydes, Graber, <br />Huffman, Kelley, Usher, Ward <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor, on <br />behalf of the City of Lakewood, to purchase the certain real <br />estate located at 1382 Belle Avenue and the rear twenty-seven <br />(27) feet of two parcels that front on the northerly side of <br />Detroit Avenue, one being at the northwest corner of Detroit <br />Avenue at Belle Avenue, and the otheradjacent at 14608 <br />Detroit Avenue, Lakewood0 Ohio, hereinafter more particularly <br />described° <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ This ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />in that the owners have agreed to sell said property for the <br />consideration hereinafter stipulated which this Council deems <br />to be in the best interest of the City and in that it provides <br />for the public health and welfare and the usual daily operation <br />of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF O~IO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby <br />authorized to purchase from Robert Overbeke, married° Edna O. <br />Kluth, married, Jane O. Kain, married, and Ruth Kaplan, <br />single, the following described property: <br /> PARCEL ~ !: <br /> Situated in the City of Lakewood, County of Cuyahoga <br /> and State of Ohio, and known as being SubLot No. 381 in <br /> the Lakewood Realty Company's Subdivision No~ 1 of Part <br /> of Original Rockport Township Section No. 22 as shown <br /> by the recorded plat in Volume 25 of Maps, Page 26 of <br /> Cuyahoga County Records and being 40 feet front on the <br /> westerly side of Belle Avenue and extending back of <br /> equal width 130 feet, as appears by said plat, be the <br /> same more or less, but subject to all legal highways. <br /> <br /> PARCEL ~2: <br /> Situated in the City of Lakewood, County of Cuyahoga <br /> and State of Ohio, and known as being part of Original <br /> Rockport Township Section No. 22 and bounded and described <br /> as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Sublot No. 382 <br /> in the Lakewood Realty Company's Subdivision No. 1 as <br /> shown by the recorded plat in Volume 25 of Maps, Page <br /> 26 of County Records; thence along the northerly line <br /> of said SubLot Number 382 which bears North 89° 32' 00" <br /> West 143o97 feet; thence South 2° 31' 57" East 27.04 feet; <br /> thence No~th 89° 32' 00" East a distance of about 142o0 <br /> feet to the westerly line of Belle Avenue (60 feet wide) <br /> which point is 113o00 feet North of the northerly line <br /> of Detroit Avenue (originally 66 feet wide); thence <br /> North 00O 28' 18" East along the westerly line of Belle <br /> Avenue aforesaid, 27.0 feet to the place of beginning <br /> be the same more or less, but subject to all legal <br /> highways. <br /> <br />and to pay therefor the sum of Fifty Eight Thousand Eight <br />Hundred Dollars ($58,800.00). <br /> <br /> <br />
