ORDINANCE NO. 13-71 BY: Messrs. Huffman, Kelley, Usher, Ward, Wendling, Gaydos, Graber AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 149.07 of the Administrative'Code of the Codified ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to longevity compensation for various employees of the City of Lakewood, commencing March 1, 1971. WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF Section 1. That Section 149.07 of the Administrative Code of the Codified ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: Section 149.07 LONGEVITY COMPENSATION. (a) Definitions. (1) "Full-time permanent employees~', as used in this section, excludes elected officials, directors of departments and hospital employees, and zn- cludes those dez.~ned in Section 149 O1 (e) and (i) . (2) "Year", as used in this section means the period running from any date on the calendar year to the corresponding date on the calendar £cr the next succeeding year. (b) Divisions of Police and Fire. 'Full-time permanent employees of the Divisions of Police and Fire shall be paid, in addition to such salary or compensation that may be provided by any other ordinance, additional compensation based on the number of continuous full years of service, including interim military service, as determined on the dates of June 15 and December 15 of each year in accordance with the following schedule: (1)For five years through nzne years of service $50.00 (2)For ten years through fourt'een years of service 75.00 (3)For fifteen years or longer ............. 100.00 (c) Other Full-Time Em.~loyees. Ail other full-time permanent employees of the City shall be paid, in addition to such salary or compensation that may be provided by any other ord.~nance, additional compen- sation based on the number of continuous full years of service, including interim military service, as determined on the dates of June 15 and December 15 of each year in accordance with the following schedule: (1)For five years through nine years of service S 75.0C (2)For ten years through fourteen years of servi_ce 10b'.
