Huffman, Kelley, Usher, <br />Ward, Wendling, Gaydos, Graber <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 149.07 of the <br />Administrative'Code of the Codified ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood relating to longevity compensation for various employees <br />of the City of Lakewood, commencing March 1, 1971. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 149.07 of the Administrative Code <br />of the Codified ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.07 LONGEVITY COMPENSATION. <br /> <br />(a) Definitions. <br /> (1) "Full-time permanent employees~', as used in this <br /> section, excludes elected officials, directors <br /> of departments and hospital employees, and zn- <br /> cludes those dez.~ned in Section 149 O1 (e) and <br /> (i) . <br /> (2) "Year", as used in this section means the period <br /> running from any date on the calendar year to <br /> the corresponding date on the calendar £cr the <br /> next succeeding year. <br /> <br />(b) Divisions of Police and Fire. 'Full-time permanent <br /> employees of the Divisions of Police and Fire shall <br /> be paid, in addition to such salary or compensation <br /> that may be provided by any other ordinance, additional <br /> compensation based on the number of continuous full <br /> years of service, including interim military service, <br /> as determined on the dates of June 15 and December 15 <br /> of each year in accordance with the following schedule: <br /> (1)For five years through nzne years of service $50.00 <br /> (2)For ten years through fourt'een years of service 75.00 <br /> (3)For fifteen years or longer ............. 100.00 <br /> <br />(c) Other Full-Time Em.~loyees. Ail other full-time <br /> permanent employees of the City shall be paid, in <br /> addition to such salary or compensation that may be <br /> provided by any other ord.~nance, additional compen- <br /> sation based on the number of continuous full years <br /> of service, including interim military service, as <br /> determined on the dates of June 15 and December 15 <br /> of each year in accordance with the following schedule: <br /> (1)For five years through nine years of service S 75.0C <br /> (2)For ten years through fourteen years of servi_ce 10b'. <br /> (3)For fifteen years through nn. neteen years of service 125.0C <br /> 150.0C <br /> (4) For twenty years or more ....................... <br /> <br />(d) Pro Rata Amount.
