ORDINANCE NO. 66-71 BY: Messrs. Gaydos, Graber, <br /> · . Huffman, Kelley, Usher <br /> Ward, Wendling <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to provide for the submission to the electorate <br />of Ordinance No. 37-71'adopted July 6, 1971, which ordinance amended Section 1111.12 <br />of the Zoning Code of the Codified Ordinances of t]he City of Lakewood by changing and <br />revising the Zoning Map with respect to certain property situated on Northland Avenue <br />in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there have been filed with the Clerk of Council petitions signed <br />by qualified electors equal in number to at least fifteen percent (15%) of the total <br />votes cast for the election of a mayor at the last preceding general municipal elect- <br />ion at which a mayor was elected requesting that Ordinance No. 37-71 be repealed or <br />be submitted to a vote of electors of the City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon reconsideration of said ordinance, this Council did not <br />entirely repeal Ordinance No. 37-71, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XI Section 6 of the Amended Charter of the <br />City of Lakewood, Council is required to submit said ordinance to a vote of the <br />electors, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a general election is to be held on November 2, 1971, which date <br />is not more than six months or less than thirty days after the refusal of this Council <br />to repeal said ordinance, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Ordinance No. 37-71 adopted July 6, 1971 which reads as <br />follows: <br /> <br />"An Ordinance to amend Section 1111.12 of the Zoning Code of the Codified <br /> Ordinances of the City of Lakewood by changing and revising the Zoning Map <br /> with respect to certain properties all as hereafter set forth and described. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Section 1111.12 of the Zoning Map of the Codified Ordinances <br />of the City of Lakewood be and the same is hereby amended by changing and re- <br />vising the Zoning Map to the extent that the property described as follows: <br /> <br />Situated in =he City of Lakewood, County of Cuyahoga, and State <br />of Ohio and known as being sublot Numbers 52, 51 in the Advance Real <br />Estates Company Subdivision, as shown by the recorded plat in Volume <br />40 of Maps, Page 20 of Cuyahoga County Records, and known as being <br />part of Original Rockport Township, Section Numbers 18. and 23 and <br />together bounded and described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the southeasterly corner of Sublot No. 52 in said sub- <br />division which point is 139.50 feet from the northerly line of Madison <br />.Avenue (80 feet side) thence westerly a distance of i30.00 feet to a <br />point, thence northerly a distance of 100.00 feet to a point, thence <br />easterly a distance of 130.00 feet I~o a point, which point is the <br />northeasterly corner of Sublot No. 51 in the said subdivision which is <br />also the westerly line of Northland Avenue (60 feet side) thence <br />southerly along the westerly line of said street, a distance of <br />lO0.O0 feet to the principal place of beginning, be the same more or <br />less, but subject to all legal highways. <br /> <br />shall be and it is hereby reclassified and changed from la-H1-A2 to lc. <br /> <br />Section 2. Preliminary development plans for the land deacribed in Section <br />I hereof shall be submitted to the Lakewood City Planning Commission and <br /> <br /> <br />
