PLEASE SUBSTITUTE FOR ~,,[NANCE <br />FUP~%HED WITH THE DOCKET. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 59-79 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, McBride, <br /> McNally, Salmon, Wendling, <br /> Brockman <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE amending Section 149.20 of the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to provide allowance <br />of cost of transportation to City employees commencing August 1, 1979. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the interest <br />of public service, welfare and safety, it is desirable to provide an allowance <br />of cost of transportation to employees of the City; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 149.20 of the Administrative Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />149.20 MILEAGE ALLOWANCE. <br /> <br /> (a) Colm~encing March 1, 1974, in addition to such salary or <br />compensation as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall <br />be paid the sum of eighty dollars ($80.00) per month to the individual <br />employees holding the positions hereinafter designated, and who are <br />not furnished with City-owned vehicles for use in the performance <br />of the duties of their position: <br /> <br />(1) Building Commissioner and Building Inspectors; <br />(2) Visiting nurses in the Division of Health; <br />(3) SanitarY Officers in the Division of Health; <br />(4) Sidewalk Inspectors, while devoting time to <br /> inspection of sidewalks; <br />(5) Health Comnlissioner in the Division of Health; <br />(6) Planning Director. <br /> <br /> (b) Com~encing March 1, 1974, in addition to such salary or <br /> compensation as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall <br /> be paid to those employees of the'City who are required to use their <br /> personal automobile in carrying out their duties on behalf of the <br /> City, other than those City employees set forth in subsection (a) <br /> hereof, a mileage allowance of twelve cents (12~) per mile provided <br /> that such personal car use shall be approved by the appropriate <br /> department head and that, when applicable, such allowance shall not <br /> exceed the cost of round trip coach air fare for such trip. <br /> <br />shall'be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />149.20 MILEAGE ALLOWANCE. <br /> <br /> (a) Commencing August 1, 1979, in addition to such salary or <br />compensation as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall <br />be paid the suni of eighty dollars ($80.00) per month to the individual <br />full-time employees holding the positions hereinafter designated, and <br />who are not furnished with City-owned vehicles for use in the performance <br />of the duties of their position: <br /> <br />(1) Building Cmnmissioner and Building Inspectors; <br />(2) Visiting nurses in the Division of Health; <br />(3) Sanitary officers in the Division of Health; <br />(4) Sidewalk Inspectors, while devoting time to <br /> inspection of sidewalks, and <br /> <br />l/Health Commissioner in the Division of Health; <br />Planning Director <br />(7) Outreach Workers (5) <br /> <br /> <br />
