ORDINANCE No. 4-88 <br /> <br /> BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating positions and fixing salaries <br />of the annual salaried sworn personnel in the Division of Police in <br />the Department of Public Safety except the Police Chief, effective <br />January 1, 1986, and repealing all other ordinances or parts of <br />ordinances inconsistent therewith. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constt[tutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety, <br />and welfare, and for the usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department in that in the interest of the public welfare and safety, <br />it is necessary to create positions and fix the compensation <br />employees; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br />STATE <br /> <br /> Section 1.
